SB413 H A&N AM 3-3

The Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources moved to amend the bill on page 5, section 12, lines 1 through 4, by striking out subsection (g) and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“(g) A licensed applicator must have one year relevant experience, or have a relevant degree or certification or a combination thereof, as approved by the board, to be eligible to take the written examination to become a licensed commercial applicator. Within 60 days of passing the licensing exam, the licensee must begin continuous employment as an applicator, either as an employee or owner of a pest control company. If a person does not begin his or her continuous employment within 60 days of passing the exam, or if a licensee at any time does not maintain continuous employment as a commercial applicator for the period of one year or more, then that person’s certification expires and he or she must be continuously employed as a commercial or registered applicator for one additional year before being eligible to retake the certification exam.”
